The transformation of this pair of open-back rubber clogs is part of an investigative study of material, functional and conceptual potential of useful things. Although it maintains its aesthetic and material character, it presents an indistinct morphological starting point. Through its modification, variation and amalgamation, the hybrid clog-bottle, communicates new meaning and function, blended with the spirit of familiar nostalgia. Winter Clogs were exhibited in the Opos Gallery, Milan and the Ivan Dougherty Gallery during the Sydney Design Biennale.
